Renovations are underway in Charlotte, NC, at the United States Army Reserve Training Center facilities.

Renovations are underway in Charlotte, NC, at the United States Army Reserve Training Center facilities. Ultimately, upgrades will provide the necessary space, furnishings, and equipment for effective implementation of Army Reserve support and training missions, catering to both full-time and Army Reserve personnel.

Our mission is to perform renovation services for four buildings and associated site improvements to meet the requirements of the United States Army. The buildings to be enhanced are Training Center Building 1300, Training Center Building 1330, Training Center Building 1412, and Area Maintenance Support Activity (AMSA) Building 1324, along with its associated Controlled Waste Building and Vehicle Wash Platform. The scope further includes the installation of a fire sprinkler pump house and water storage tanks, pending assessment by the Offeror.

Upgrades to the site encompass the replacement of all asphalt pavement, the addition of extra sidewalks, the creation of a novel fire line loop, and the installation of fresh sanitary sewer piping. Showcasing ingenious value engineering capabilities, the existing asphalt subgrade was chemically stabilized, eliminating the need for a costly new aggregate base and haul-off. Additionally, the design of the new fire line loop cleverly utilized an existing street connection and leveraged the site's grading, ensuring minimum flow requirements were met without requiring a new exterior fire pump. These value engineering proficiencies contributed to more efficient and budget-conscious solutions for the project.

Scope also covers abatement and demolition of building interior, while exterior improvements consist of tuck-pointing, minor roof repairs, full window and storefront entrance glazing replacement, and door replacements. Interior enhancements involve installing Holeless hydraulic elevators in two buildings, adding gypsum walls for new offices, replacing all MEP systems, incorporating sprinkler services in three buildings, and implementing cybersecurity improvements. Additionally, an Exterior Modular Arms Vault will be installed and integrated with the site-wide security systems to ensure secure equipment storage. An Exterior Modular Arms Vault will also be installed, providing a secure storage solution for essential equipment.
