Our Commitment

At Blinderman, we believe we can – and should – make a positive impact on the communities we serve. One person, one project, and one initiative at a time.

Building Communities for Better Futures

At Blinderman, serving our community is not only integral to running our business successfully, it is part of our individual responsibility as citizens of Chicago, and the world. Our main social responsibility initiatives are inspired by and reflect our industry, what we do, and the people we work together with day-in and day-out:

InSTEM logo

inSTEM’s purpose is to provide middle school girls, in low-income Chicago Public Schools (CPS), unique opportunities to engage in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) activities.

YouthBuild logo

YouthBuild serves as a catalyst of change that promotes the talents and energy of low-income and underserved young people (ages 16-24) to transform their lives by reclaiming their education, engaging in adult responsibility, and giving back to their communities.

Event Benificiary, inSTEM

inSTEM (Inspiring STEM in Girls) is a summer camp program, offered through DePaul University's College of Education, that builds on the fundamentals of the Young People’s Project (YPP) for mathematics literacy. The purpose of the inSTEM program is to provide middle school girls, in low-income Chicago Public Schools (CPS), unique opportunities to engage in STEM activities. These experiences include real-world investigations, problem solving, and technology integrations, all designed to enhance students’ mathematics and science content knowledge and promote students’ interest and confidence in advanced education and STEM careers.
